TEMPO! Rain Jacket
TEMPO! Rain Jacket is a cycling jacket made from a 100% waterproof fabric, built to give you the right balance of protection and performance on the wettest race days and training rides below 10°C. It has been developed in close collaboration with the professional riders of Uno-X Mobility and Gabriel Rasch - the architect behind the legendary Gabba jacket - to create a functional rain jacket with an aerodynamic fit and controlled thermal comfort.
In developing TEMPO! Rain Jacket, the goal was to build on the principles that made the modern rain jacket an essential tool in the peloton. To move away from the classic idea of rainwear as stiff and loose, we chose a stretch coated fabric that is both windproof and waterproof. The benefit of this material is its extreme elasticity, allowing the jacket to sit close to the body in an aggressive riding position. That removes the excess fabric that would otherwise flap in the wind and cost valuable watts.
The shoulder seams are taped on the inside to create a waterproof front where rain exposure is highest. The rear pockets are built in a mesh construction, allowing rainwater to run straight through instead of collecting in the pocket panel and weighing you down. Inside the collar, a soft brushed fleece creates a warmer comfort zone around the neck and prevents that cold feel against the skin. At the wrists, the material is made extra stretchy, making it easy to take the jacket on and off while riding.
TEMPO! Rain Jacket is a no-compromise result of expertise from some of the sharpest minds in the peloton and our internal wind tunnel testing. By combining Gabriel Rasch’s experience with the latest European materials, it gives you a cycling jacket that lets you ride fast in the rain without giving up either aerodynamics or comfort.
